Bio

Born and raised in New York City, Steve L. Romero is a reflection of the cultural diversity that is found in New York City. His passion for Photography began while attending high school in SoHo, the heart of creativity, combining the Punk and Art Culture of the 1980's.

His love of Photography continued years later in 1994 when he received a prestigious scholarship allowing him to study Architecture in Rome, Italy. Wanting to capture the scene rather than sketching his assignments, he dedicated his time to photographing the great European monuments and architecture.

A few years ago with the advent of digital photography Steve was re-introduced to the craft while traveling to Brazil, The Grand Canyon, and the Caribbean. The colors, culture, and architectural forms inspired him further, thus inciting his desire to learn more. The creativity prompted him to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology for Photography. This formal education along with experimentation provided Steve with the skills needed to capture great moments today.

Following his heart, he then became an Event Photographer for an 8,000 SF restaurant, Il Campanello Ristorante, one block away from Madison Square Garden. Since then he has photographed a variety of events and celebrations pouring his heart into all his work. Highlights of his career can be seen in his portfolio. These highlights include photographing concerts at Madison Square Garden, covering news & sporting events, and capturing people. "My love of people and desire to capture them at their best is what drives me."

His uplifting and positive attitude contributes to the quality of the photography and especially the personal relationship he develops with his clients. "Once I am signed to a project I give this tremendous positive energy. Customer service & appreciation is such a large part of what I offer because everything is a reflection of myself as a photographer and, more importantly, as a person."
